The formation of Members in this association are in two phases
- Consecration
- Rose of Perfect Purity
Consecration
You become a member of the Apostolate through the act of consecration. The purpose is to help Christians return to the price of their salvation; our Lord is calling us to make a special Consecration to His Precious Blood. The act of Consecration is celebrated by a catholic priest who is in good standing with the church, and it must be celebrated with the votive Mass to His Precious Blood.
After the Consecration, the Consecrated person must fulfill all the Calls to prayer and deeds of the devotion.
Requirements
To become consecrated to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ through this Devotion, a devotee must:
- – Make the Hour of Gethsemane for six consecutive months, ideally in groups of two or more or individually, in a spirit of mortification. The Gethsemane Hours of prayer begin on Thursday at 11:00 PM, and ends at 3:00 AM on Friday. At least one hour of prayer must be kept between midnight (12:00 AM) and 3:00 AM on Friday.

Performing the act of Consecration:
Consecrations to the Precious Blood within the USA, is a national event and shall be scheduled the year prior by the National Committee in collaboration with the Regional Servers and performed by the National Chaplain or his designee regional priest Spiritual Director. Due to erroneous teachings and lack of proper instruction and procedures for consecration, the US Apostolate has experienced some individuals who participate in the devotion but do not want to belong to this legitimate group. This has led to confusion, division, and incomplete formation of such variant devotees. At his last Conference in 2023, Brother Barnabas Nwoye stated to the US Apostolate that any consecrations performed outside of this legitimate group, and without the approval and directives of the National Chaplain henceforth shall be considered invalid in the USA and Nigeria because they are performed out of disobedience.
The Act of consecration must be performed: On the third Friday of any month or in the following special periods:
– Every Friday.
– Every Friday in December and the first Friday in January.
– Every Friday in April and the first Friday in May.
– Every Friday of the Great Month of July (The month dedicated to the Precious Blood)
- During the “Hours of the Seal”, that is, to celebrate Mass and the act of consecration between noon (12 m) and 3:00 p.m., which are the hours in which the Lord suffered on the Cross during his Passion.
- If for some pastoral reason the consecration cannot be performed at the specified times, then another suitable time may be established.
- During the act of consecration, the devotee is given the Agonizing Crucifix and the insignia as set forth in the prayer book
- During the act of Consecration, the devotee is given the Agonizing Crucifix and the insignia as set forth in the book.
The consecrated person must fulfill all the calls to prayer and deeds of the devotion.
4 Calls of Deeds
Purity:
Only purified souls can enter Heaven. The theme of purity is found through all the messages of the Precious Blood given to Barnabas. This call is urgent, in view of the avalanche of impurity that the agents of the Antichrist have unleashed in the world and in the Church.
The Cross of Perfection:
Truth, Forgiveness, Humility and Love are very complex spiritual challenges that arise perpetually during the life of a Christian, sometimes in excessively complicated moments within our spiritual journey. Jesus teaches Barnabas how to perfectly carry this crucial burden to the gate of salvation. The message of April 5, 2000, talks about how to carry the Cross to the end, it is an essential reading for those who consecrate themselves to the Precious Blood.
Jesus in the Eucharist:
Due reverence for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist is seriously lacking in the Universal Church due to a variety of practices, several of which, Pope John Paul II quoted, in the Encyclical Ecclesia de Eucharistia (2003), for example Nos. 52 and 53. Catholics are called to worship and adore the Holy Eucharist, but some Catholics are negligent and carefree toward the center and summit of Christian worship: numerous calls from Jesus in His messages of the Precious Blood are directed toward Catholics in order to help them return to true worship and adoration of this Sacrament.
Feeding the Hungry:
United with the previous calls, there is a more recent one from our Lord for this apostolate (and the Church in general) in doing more for the poor in need. Individual dioceses within this apostolate have their respective programs in this direction. After putting into operation, the Youth Crusade for Purity, which is now receiving urgent attention, the apostolate plans to launch an international program to alleviate poverty.
